The setup
for this class is very self-paced and motivated. Even though this could be said
for most online classes, what makes this course unique is that I do not feel so
pressured with making sure what I write is correct according to what the
professor wants. So far, I have been able to easily flow through the blog post because
I feel like I am writing to more of an audience instead of one professor hoping
to get a good grade. This has made me more excited about writing the storybook.
Then after reading though the different storybooks I am very motivated to get to
create my own storybook. I think that through the different readings I will be
able to learn more on the different myths and legends that surround different folklores.
This should help me find a particular subject to focus on. Even though I am
planning on completing all of the assignments the draw of learning more about the
Growth Mindset by Carol Dweck, will probably have me doing some of the extra
credit in that subject. Since I work in education right now I can apply what I
learn in the Growth Mindset to interactions with my students.
